Jonathan Mooney talks about the different encounters he is having with people from all around the United States who have similar disabilities to him. This is something that I see an inspirational. It is very difficult for someone. He is reliving his past which was full of painful experiences. Throughout the book Mooney is trying to get across to the reader that we need to be understanding and accepting. However, in the one chapter of his book he talks about how he went to visit a young girl who is deaf and blind. In this chapter he explains how he was scared of her and wasn't sure what to think of her. I think that this is unfair of him to expect everyone to understand him when it is clear that he has a hard time understanding this young girl. I do not think it is intentional though and I feel like his journey may be the chance for him to get people to better understand his disability. I like how the book is developing and look forward to reading the rest of it. It's going to be interesting to see who else he decides to visit and why.
